# Playbook Refiner: How to use AI Chat to edit playbooks

Update a playbook by talking to it: adapt to a new regulation, fill in missing entries, or sanity-check the guidance you already have.

The Playbook Refiner lets you _talk_ to your playbook. Whether you want to adapt to a new regulation, brainstorm missing entries, or sanity-check your current guidance, this feature makes updating a playbook faster and more intuitive than ever.

## 🛠 How to Use It

### 1\. Open a Playbook

In either the Word add-in or the web app, open any playbook you want to refine.

### 2\. Click **Edit** → **Refine Playbook**

This opens a new AI-powered chat window.

### 3\. Ask the AI your question

**Examples:**

-   Ask it to brainstorm missing entries
    
-   Check if any playbook entries are going beyond market
    
-   Get help adapting to new laws or internal policies
    
-   Ask it to make a playbook more suitable for a different jurisdiction
    
-   Describe any performance issues you are having with a playbook entry, and the AI will suggest improvements
    

### 4\. Attach any supporting documents

Just attach to add them into the chat (e.g., a PDF or Word version of a new law).

### 5\. Review the suggested edits

-   Changes are shown in **track changes**
    
-   If you're happy, click **Apply**
    
-   Want to undo? One click is all it takes
